Blackmores Complimentary Medicines Course
For more than 70 years Blackmores has combined scientific research and traditional knowledge to market a range of healthcare products based on vitamins, minerals, herbs and nutrients. Natural medicine has become a very integral part of healthcare over the past 10 years and it is important for pharmacists to have extensive knowledge of the products they provide to customers. Also evidence-based research is essential for pharmacists, as healthcare professionals, to allow them to sell complementary medicines to customers with the confidence of successful therapeutic outcomes.
The Blackmores courses provide an evidence-based overview of common complementary medicines encountered in pharmacy practice. They have an emphasis on the clinical management of conditions using complementary medicines alongside established pharmacotherapeutic practices.
This course is run for second and third year students depending on demand.
